Am sure loads of you already know this or do this but I hadnt heard of it before so thought I'd share...Collect 5 tokens printed daily in the daily mail (i think you have about 10 days left to start collecting) and get a choice of 100's of locations across the UK for a 3 or 4 night break. I collected them for the 1st time in my life after seeing an ad on TV for the Daily Mail and me and OH are having a 4 night break in Poole Harbour in September...you can upgrade your accomodation which we did, to a staggering £17.50pp!! A nice break for very little money. We thinking of exploring the New Forest, were 400 yards from the beach, can walk to the lovely restuarants and shops in Poole Harbour and not far into Bournemouth for a visit....

My mother and I have been doing the Sun newspaper holidays for about 5 years now (once or twice a year). There are so many places in England that we want to see and never get there, so we use these 'cheap' holidays to do that. We've done Sussex, Dorset coast, Devon, South Wales, Chester and last year Northumberland so I could go and get attacked by the terns and see the puffins on the Farne Islands, it was fantastic. This year we have just booked for the Isle of Wight. I'd highly recommend doing it. |

Is it actually the true price then? no added extras? I have seen both advertised but never bothered collecting becuase I thought there would be loads of hidden extras to pay..

The Sun holidays are £9.50, but thats based on 4 people sharing, so even though its just my Mother and I, we have to pay for 4 people, so its £38. You can add extra's, like entertainment pass (which we never do)and I think we pay extra for bed linen, but it still works out a lot cheaper than any other way. |

We declined any of the optional extra e.g. bed linen, entertainment passes etc as we can take our own bed linen for nothing and we're planning to visit the many bars and restaurants in Poole Harbour...I think its the same with any of these deals, you can take up as much or as little as you want. Like Julie H though, it is based on a min. 4 people sharing so we paid double each as didnt want to go with anyone else, however no cheaper place in the area we are staying during that time so more than happy with that. Will see what its really like in September (that's when we're booked to go) |
