Well I thought I had found an ideal new owner for 'Aragorn' and after she had visited three times everything looked ideal. Unfortunately not - he was due to be picked up on Saturday and at 8am they phoned to try and knock his price down - to say I was dismayed is an understatement. I felt I had already lowered his price too much for such an amazing horse, and then having to listen to someone telling me why they should have him at a lower price!!!!! Well I declined their OFFER!!!! only to be phoned back 3 hours later to say they would now pay original price. Again I declined this OFFER and I have now decided to keep him and hopefully do some long distance rides next year. Hay ho I guess that's life with horses but I now feel relieved he is still with me. Happy Christmas everyone Ali

Ali Sorry to hear you have been messed around by your potential buyers but everything happens for a reason. It is obviously fate for Aragorn to stay with you and i hope you have many more years of fun together Alethea Aristotle Arabians |

Blimey, I can't believe the cheek of some people! Well actually I can, as I had someone do that to me with a car and they were standing right in front of me (we had agreed a price, they turned up and wated to give £500 less... hmmm no!)
Soo glad he is still with you - they were obviously not the right home for him! x |

Thanks everyone, I think the same - meant to be. I have just come back from the farm and he is all tucked up with his hay net and friend next door. I feel very happy he is still here. Ali |

Ahhh that's lovely Alison - someone who is prepared to try-it-on like that is not the type of owner you want for your horse. How low!! Sometimes it takes a near-miss like this to make you really appreciate what you have It WAS meant to be!! |

So sorry to hear you have been so messed about. selling horses is stressfull enough for those of us who really care where they go and like has already been said, perhaps it happened for a reason, if they really wanted and loved him they would not insult you in such a way. |

Perhaps it is for the best. Why don't you get in touch with us at EGB De Cymru as we support endurance riders at whatever level they wish to do. I expect I am not far from you and would love to hear from you. The website address is in my signature. |

I nearly sold JJ (Johara El Kheil) as a 2yr old and someone messed me around.
Obviously I kept him and I'm so glad I did.
