We all know there is a wealth of information out there, our forum is a testament to that, now is our chance to put all this together into a place that is easily accessable and searchable for One and All.
Sections can include but not limited to -
Russian Egyptian Spanish Polish Crabbet Anglos Part Breds Where it all began Horses of Note The bygone age. Events from Yesteryear Ailments Facts/Fiction Changes / Influences over the years Funny things/humour
( Have more ideas ?? Let us know
If you would like to be involved, have that valuable knowlege and would like to share it, then please do let us know.

Sounds good to me. I'd love to help!!
I wonder if any peeps out there can help identify this lovely stallion or colt in the photo I took at Ascot......so long ago now!! The handler is a young Emma Maxwell, Emma if you look in please tell us who this lovely beast is please. (or anyone else)! I am sure it was taken in 1982/3? Sorry memory lapse (age related)
I do have more, just found dear Ravlon Elijah, will post some tomorrow. Good luck Admin this sounds like a great idea. |

What a wonderful idea the living library will be. We will certainly lend a hand with the Anglo and Part breds, and possibly some of the older Pure breds. Will you be doing a sort of pedigree data base? Obviously it would have to be checked, but I'm sure this could be done. |

Annette: no wrong shape for Fakhr El Kheil I think - and he was shown in an Authentic bridle. I'll have a look at my notes/photos to get id.
We need to get alot of our negs on the computer so this could be a good incentive!!!
If you add "Jordanian" I've quite alot of them I photographed in October! |

It's not a trick question or anything like that!! I have some photos I took at Ascot possibly in 1982/3/4 of the stallions and some colts. I did have the catalogues from that year as we entered a yearling filly Zaca (Silver Scenario x Zehreza) I had a huge clean out and bined the catalogues!! now I rack my brains trying to remember. Just would like to know. I think it needs Emma to look see. Here is another from that same year, first one again I don't know who? the second is Ravlon Elijah.
All photos will come up larger if you click on them. Interesting to see some male handlers wearing bowler hats!! |

wow paula what a fantastic idea! i always liked the search bit on the se site, and you just search the name of the horse you are looking for, and then it has a picture and some info.
Can we include Asils please |

We will include all info in the AL LL ;-)
Will probably need more proof readers if any of you guys want to join in but not actually add info ;-)
Lets not lose all those wonderful facts and info, lets instead show them off to the world.. and be proud

& the pic above Ravlon Elijah, would that be Mehzeer? probably wrong on both counts but worth a try? |

Rosie, I think you could be right on both counts! I have to get in the loft to look at all my old AHS News books from that era, I'm sure the results used to go in them then. Well done you, thanks. I agree, if it is Seyhal he has got that 'Premier' look about him.
This is another pic, not too good when enlarged I'm afraid. I am sure the grey slightly in the forefront is Vain Hussar, but I have no idea who the other is? Any ideas.
It's beginning to sound like a competition and I promise it is not. I just have these few old photos that I can't put a name to. Normally I can identify immediately!! |

That's the idea!!! I have many others who I do know, but these I don't. Would be a shame to lose them.
If you work from one stallion, for example Crystal Magician, (I have some of him!!) you could add photos of his offspring working a wonderful pictorial family tree.

Thankyou Moatside
We will probably need quite a few proof readers maybe one to two per section so hopefully its fun to do rather than a chore |
