The pics of the performance have been enjoyable so why not put some of this summer's in-hand horses please?

Havn`t shown for donkeys years but decided to take our unshown yearling Anglo colt to the Nationals.....he was an absolute gentleman and behaved impeccably for his novice handler....even when a torrential downpour soaked him

Worth getting wet for....Reserve Junior Male Champion
His new owner also went along to BAHPAC, where he was Anglo/PBA Youngstock Champion. Good start to his future

This is a picture of Naseekah (Aurelian / Bint Nefous) taken at the Bute Show this year, aged 16.

She doesn't get 'out' much, maybe next year.... I guess after all that has happened to her daughter, she will henceforth be known as "Buffy's Mum!!"

Not 'in hand' in the strictest sense, but not wanting to be left out, here is Red winning novice long-reining with obstacles before going on to be Reserve Champion at BDS Area 37, Erddig.

This is my 3yo old colt Khlassic Design. This pic was taken at a very small local show, I took him to keep a nervous traveler company so thought i maze well do a class with him. He was last!!! Dont think they liked arabs there. I love him anyway!!

Hey Abz
Was that Newbridge show your talking about? I thought it was a rubbish show. They put the inhand and ridden arabs/anglos and part breds all together in the same class and as i had brought both mares-one to do in hand and one to do ridden i had to drag my friends daughter to show Nakeeta inhand and shes never handled arabs before and i rode Cristle. Both my mares misbehaved because they wanted to be next to each other the whole time. Somehow Nakeeta got pulled in 3rd overall but I came last on Cristle who normally gets placed much higher up! so dont worry you might have come last out of the inhands but i came last out of everyone!
I thought your boy was lovely too. The judges just dont have a clue down this way. |

Abbi, hope you don't mind me putting this up, but as may recall Khlassic Design is my girl's grandson and I took this picture when I saw him and his mum Khymanoa at Malvern. He was about 6 weeks old here bless him!

Venus with Trainer Jessica Austin I am very proud of her as she was brought up from 8th position to 4th and turned out to be the first in the line up of british bred horses

This is our very gangly weanling colt....who has the most adorable disposition He is threequarter blood related to our yearling colt above. Pics taken at 20 weeks.....an outing for experience and he was amazing on box and at the show......think he really enjoyed his day
growing like a weed and up high behind, going to make a full up large Show Hack methinks. Mum and Dad, both Sunrays and he shows the beautiful eye that all our homebreds have.
Hope he lives up to his name....Sunray Showtime ????

apologies for poor quality of pics....photo camera

Fab thread! Love seeing the summer in hand pics! NATASCHA - Lovely to see Pladykt looking so well. I saw him when Silverdale leased him about 10 years ago, he was gorgeous. I encouraged a friend at the time to use him and he sired a stunning filly, very correct with a beautiful head. |
