They were a big name when I was involved in showing but it's been a few years since I was off the scene.
Anyone any idea what happened to the stud? The people? And the horses, of course?

The Needhams got divorced. Karen owns a restaurant in Ambleside and I believe Ian still lives in the Lake District too. Of their horses - well Om el Azadik is still alive in the Middle East (I was speaking to Deirdre Hyde only last week about him). Quite a few of their mares were sold to Europe. Edykt went to the States and is no longer with us. Az Enigma belongs to Vicki and Brenda Marsh and was involved in their awful fire earlier this year.

Thanks for that bit of catch up! I didn't quite understand your last sentence, though, about a fire?

Vicki and Brenda's stables were set on fire and they lost some of their horses ... see threads on discussion boards. Enigma escaped OK.

I still have Alysia with me (Edykt/Lilac Shadow) who we purchased as a 12 week old foal back in 1989. I now also have Ass Windi who wan't bred by the Needhams but was one of their main show horses becoming Res Nations Cup Champion in 1990.
