Thanks for keeping us updated on this subject Sue. I have signed the Petition once again. For people like me who are breeding and therefore own more than one horse - this is going to be another nail in the coffin. With the rise in the price of feed; hay; straw; haylage and now a tax on top; perhaps it is time to give up.
PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED that it is only to be set at about a tenner, once they have got us on their record system the amounts will creep up till it is set with an extra zero.
Unless you have more money than sense, that is better off in OUR pockets to spend to keep OUR horses to the best of our ability, not to give to a government department to lose on its own top heavy burocracy.
costs enough already without this useless government trying to wring more out of us. As usual a "certain" part of the equestrian community will get off scot free if this is instigated. Do this government actually ever think things out??? they sure show no sign of it so far!!
