Hi Nikki, you will be getting a letter soon ! but just to let you know, you sponsored the ridden mares which was won by Melissa Rose ridden by Valda Angier, she came all the way from Sussex to join us, and what a lovely mare she is.
Alexia any more pics ? That one is gorgeous
Kastell, a number of people have asked us if we will extend the percentage for next year, we will discuss it, but to be honest the 50% Crabbets are more than holding their own in the show ring, and we would lose the uniqueness of our show, so I think the answer will be no, I'll let you know after our meeting on Friday,
Mandy

Rowena,
I was so impressed with Marcus!!! When i got home i checked him out on your website and he is soooo lush He is my perfect arab, i love the shape of his face and he looks so strong and dependable. I cant believe he is a stallion, what a gentleman. Didnt he win the horse the judge would most like to take home....? Michelle |

Lovely horses, and they all look so happy and relaxed. It sounds like a wonderful show---I so wish all arab shows would be conducted like this. Michelle--Khalifa looks wonderful--- a well deserved win. |

We will be meeting later this week, where decisions regarding next years show will be made. All ideas will be discussed, but it looks like we will definitely be running it again!!!! Please keep up the support, it has been great to read all the positive feedback, and makes all the hard work worth while.

Well folks, we've had our meeting and have made a few changes to the schedule for next year, we will be adding a few classes for anglo's, part breds and hispano's both ridden and in hand, to qualify one parent must be at least 75% Crabbet.
We will not be reducing the percentage to qualify for pure bred classes, so it will remain at 75% plus Crabbet.
We will be adding a new related pairs class, this will be for close relatives, mother/son, half siblings etc.
We will be moving the Handy Arab to the middle of the day, as its great fun to do and watch.
We'll also be adding a novice class to the CRC dressage
Hope you approve
See you next year !!!!

Went to your show and enjoyed it in preference to UK Gold and EEvent that was 15 mins down the M5.
Like the new classes. Wessex has also decided to add the AA/PB class for next year as well as the Family Group that was suggested to us by Diana Whittome after this year's Spring show. We have named ours The Tarentella Family Class in memory of her foundation mare. What are you calling yours?

Mandy, I like the sound of the additional classes!
Thankyou Michelle and Deboniks! I thought there were so many calm, well mannered and very lovely horses (and people!) there. As Lisa said earlier, so many of the ridden horses with "day jobs". And yes, it was a lovely surprise when the in-hand Judge had it anounced that Marcus was to receive a special rosette as the horse she would most like to take home as her riding horse
He has been learning about eventing the last couple of weeks A steep learning curve but he is thoroughly enjoying himself and has so far added two dressage judges to the people on whom he has worked his magic

Looks like you all had a great day. I'm loving he fact that you had a "handy arab" class and not just dressage but CRC dressage - very impressed. I'm a CRC member . Would be nice to have more dressage at our Arab shows. Love the chestnut boy - he looks gold on some of the photos. Well done! |
