It is with total shock and desolation that I announce that my beautiful gelding 'Aybac' was put to sleep last night. Following a problematic week Jack had surgery yesterday afternoon but was simply too tired to fight to survive.
Words cannot express the hole left by him but I will always be grateful to the time I had with my amazing boy. He was my first pure bred and has truly been a horse in a million.
We have shared fantastic times together with highlights being Ridden Supreme at Northern group, 7th at HOYS and 2nd BAC, all in 2007.
Many thanks must go to Mark Hardcastle who I bought him off, and Mike Johnson who put us in touch in the first place. I'm eternally grateful.
Thanks to all of you that have ever been a fan of my beautiful boy, your kind words will stay with me forever, as will my brilliant memories of him.

| I am so sorry to hear this - he looked so well only last Saturday I photographed him winning the Ridden Horse Championship at The Classic Show ... he was always there or there abouts in the ribbons and was a credit to you - I remember his long tail flowing behind! RIP Jack |

So sorry to read this sad sad news-it must be heartbreaking for you. I will miss him as he was one of my fav geldings to watch.

| Alison, I really don't know what to say....He was one of my favourites as you know...such a typy elegant chap who always drew my eyes to him...I'm in tears at this awful news and I really feel for you and your mum I know how much you adored your boy.. He was a absolute pleasure to ride and judge last week as always, and can't believe he has gone....My heartfelt sympathy to you at this dreadful dreadful time...RIP Aybac a true beauty...xxx |

| Did he compete at Bolton in 2007? Terrible memory but there was a simply stunning gelding that won the novice class when our Mandy was second, and they went on to be champion and reserve ridden. Such a tragedy for a young horse in his prime, its hard enough when they have lived a full and useful life and age catches up with them. I can't even imagine what you are feeling. Keep the happy memories, that is what you shared in the time you had with him. |
