Hi Tamila Roseanne I am sure wont mind me posting but she was bred by the late Linda Hannaford at Millbrook Arabians and called Ahmouna she was double ahmoun and out of Gold Lucretia - I remember her being born - she was lovely and Roseanne bought her as a youngster and has done loads of things with her - she has had a lovely life.
Thanks for that. I remember Gold Lucretia as a baby. Lovely mare and, of course, Ahmoun was wonderful and such a character. My favourtie stallion of all time. A very sad time when he passed on.
It is always nice to hear of Ahmoun offspring an descendants as he was such a wonderful sire. Everything he sired either competed in all spheres or produced offspring that did.
So sorry Tamila - only just come onto the FAO section for the first time in AGES!!
I'll get my pics of Moon scanned in and let you see them. She wasn't top show material because she didn't have the pizzazz inhand, but she certainly had a wonderful temperament and was as safe as houses. She had lovely paces too.
Her ridden career was cut short because she was kicked in the stifle by a filly. She could be hacked lightly but looked so odd that anyone would have thought it was cruel to ride her at all.
She is now in a fantastic 'retirement' home, even though she's not all that old) with two lifelong experts in the Crabbet and Old English bloodlines (and their super collection of Arabs) who took her for her lovely Old English lines. I still hope she may produce a foal for them.
