I think there are some fab pictures on here.
This is my gelding Kamar. He does ridden showing and in hand showing although this year he's mainly been focused on ridden work. The picture was taken last year at the classic and is courtesy of sweet photography.

I really hope one day that I will be able to partake in a ridden gelding class and that things come together eventually. There is no route to HOYS for palominos except via AHS so this is my dream in the mean time we keep plodding on in the vain hope that one day lady luck will smile on us and we will turn a corner. I am very proud of my boy getting reserve champ at cheshire up against some stiff competition as he is a gelding (palomino classes) and I hope we do well next weekend at the pally nationals but I do hope one day that we can make it ridden when he decides he can canter! |

I can put a couple up for you Jenny W if you want to email me them at roseanne_edwards@journalist.com
What a fantastic collection of lovely geldings people have posted so far!
The Royal Show proved yet again how much more heavily subscribed gelding showing classes are compared to mares and stallions.

My daughter just returned from the US and was amazed at the quality of geldings being shown... most would make superb stallions! I think more should be made of gelding classes in the UK both in-hand and ridden....
I sold one of my boys Vizahj ( Zircon Nazeer x Sabaara) who was gelded at 8yrs old after leading a successful in-hand career as a stallion... but just did not seem to enjoy the showing scene!
Vizahj as a 3yr old colt at Malvern
We had him gelded and he is now leading a fabulous life with his new owner Molly Quinn who is only 14! He attends pony camp where at first he was frowned upon for being an arab but afterwards I heard nothing but great things about him, he's even converted a few non-arab people!

All lovely pix but I am especially pleased to see Visaj, as I knew him as a tiny foal when he came here with his mum to be covered ( see result as the fab SSinsation) I remember when he came off the box , he just blew my mind , what an exotic beauty he was , and now to see him leading such a useful life makes my heart sing edited to correct awful spelling |

There are some seriously lovely geldings around! I can't believe Azlal is 23! Damascus is a real showman, and Rafael looks a fabulous horse to ride (and show!).
Vera is that expression 'just what do you think you're doing fiddling around my nether regions - how very, very rude!' or is it 'just scratch harder will you?'

This has been a lovely topic to follow. Some lovely geldings. Jenny, Azlal looks fab, I'll always remember him as a stallion and the wide berth you had to give him as you went past his box, but he's still a lovely boy, proves what an all-rounder our Arabian horses are |
