Arghhhh I'm guessing that the pollen counts been horrendous lately...my runny, dribbly nose & itchy eyes being a fairly good detector!
I don't usually suffer from it, just a dust allergy, but yesterday before I even got near a pony I started with the raging snots! Argghhh I HATE it!
Anti histamines just don't seem to work so I've given up with them.
I've spotted a rather interesting 'device' in Lloyds pharmacy though. Works on light therapy reducing the release of histamines & its 2 probes you shove up your nose, a few minutes couple of times a day.
I'm seriously considering it before I sneeze myself into oblivion!

Is anyone else suffering and does ANYTHING actually relieve your suffering?

...Snotty from Burnley!

Feel for you - my hubby suffers terribly at the moment too, the pollen count is always high at this time of the year. He takes tablets (piriteze) and they do help but the best tip he ever had was to chew som chewing gum. It really works!!

It's horrible at the moment. When I hacked out on Thursday, I could SEE the pollen blowing off the grasses - it looked like smoke there was that much of it.

I'm using a combination of anti-histamines, wearing sunglasses whilst outside and vaseline inside my nose, and a neti pot. A neti pot is used as part of yoga, and it basically involves pouring warm salty water up your nose! It then clears the sinuses. It's making such a difference! It doesn't stop the hayfever, but my nose is much clearer.

Bought my 'probes' today (and one for a snotty friend too!) I'll let you know if they work

Honestly it's not that bad. Imagine the feeling you get when you swimming and the water clears your sinuses, but without the stinging of the chlorine. It feels odd to start with, but the effects are worth it!

Anyway, no worse than light emitting probes stuck up yer snout!!!
