My budgies, which were supposed to be 2 boys, are obviously not! This is my 1st baby. I have 4 so far but this is the oldest, about 2 weeks.

Oh bless! Congratulations....
I had two boy cockatiels and ended up with 5 babies....The first one I bought as a boy called Charlie and then we rescued another called Cocky. They got on extremely well, and now we know why
We wanted to keep them so built an outside aviary, they have a heated indoor section for the Winter and have now lived outside for about 6 years. They keep trying to breed with each other but we now give them dummy eggs |

Gorgeous - baby parrots/budgies etc look so prehistoric!!!
The way to tell adult budgies apart is that the male will have a blue "cere" (the blob containing the nostrils, above the beak) and the female will have a brown one.....but it's a bit academic now!

Caryn, thats what I thought but the female is an albino so her cere colour is pale anyway. It looks like this baby will be blue and I can't wait to see what colour the lthers will be. I also have baby finches on the go as well! |

Slave 2 Magic, Sorry, I didn't realise you were knowledgable about the budgies - an albino would have stumped me too!

Seriously cute!!! I love the way his/her little feet are curled.
I had a pair of male budgies who used to kiss and court each other all the time! |
