Ive seen one on ebay that im awaiting a reply, as the camera is power pack but they said it can be ran off battery pack and the price isnt stupid either im just not very technically minded
I'm a bit paranoid and have cctv at home for the stables and a wireless set up for the horsebox. Wouldn't be without them. Hubby sometimes gets a bit annoyed when we are in the middle of a film and I switch over to the camera channel and start watching the horses in the stables
Can't advise on your set up but if that is what you want, then go for it. Especially as there is a foaling to watch....you won't tear yourself away...
Where will you be watching it from? Some of the wireless cameras don't have a very long range, so are great as recording CCTV or for your trailer, but might need to have the main unit nearby, so not much point for checking on the mare.
thanks for the comments here is the item, for the foaling ill be in the fixed caravan on the yard but thought this would be better than disterbing the mare every time i wanted to check. Still waiting a reply off them about the camera section can be run off power pack as no electric in stable block but is in the caravan.
The only thing that I would say is that perhaps you are not going to see too much detail on a 2.5" screen? To be able to get the whole stable in, you are probably only going to tell if the horse is standing or lying down......I could be wrong though
That sounds like a really sophisticated bit of kit I used a fairly simple set up from B&Q with two cameras and a monitor - could lie in bed and wait You'd be welcome to that as don't use it but it does need electricity Jude
Hi all, Reagarth lovely offer thank you but i think ill prob be better sleeping inthe stable block when she is due at least i can hear and see everything if needed and ive got the be sensible and put the camera money to rebels vet bills. Thanks all for the advice
