Does anyone use a programme and if so what? Up until now, I've used my own database but I don't have the time nor the expertise to make it sing and dance the way I would like it to. Iain does, but again no time.
So much depends on how many horses you've got and what you do with them. Some programmes are geared up more to producing invoices for livery and breeding when what you want is how much you've spent on each horse for vet and med and feed or foaling records. Leaving out the mega-expensive (Equisoft) EquineMax is good although American. You can download a demo from their site to play with. Stable-IT is also very good but a bit pricier at around £75 per month. I did this research for my job, but for my own neddies, like you I just do it on a database.
Thanks Carrie. I've downloaded the EquineMax software, but despite it saying its Mac compatible it keeps telling me its windows based and doesn't want to play. Might just have to find the time to develop what I've already got.
what kind of features would you like if you could have a bespoke programme? This might be a good homework project for me I have been thinking of doing something for a while now.

That sounds good. Let me have a proper think of all the things that my database doesn't currently do, that I would like it to do. Trying to get my head round accounts at mo!!
