Wessex Summer C Show 14th June: Travel Information
The Highways Agency is planning to close the M4 in both directions between Junctions 15 and 16 from 7pm on Saturday 13th June and 10am on Sunday 14th June. This will affect anyone using the M4 to get to the Show from the Western side of Newbury and may cause some congestion from other areas. It is understood that the planned diversion will add approximately an extra 30 mins to the journey. To help ease the situation the show will now start at 9:30. Please also note that the second and third classes in Ring 2, the Open non HOYS purebred ridden Mares and Stallions will not run so the fourth class the ridden Crabbet and all subsequent classes in that ring may be earlier than planned. The In hand Crabbet Class 8 and in hand Barren Mare class 11 have been split, please make sure you enter the correct class. The Catalogue shows the split.

Western side is everywhere west of Newbury. That is where the closure will be. There may be queues on the eastern side. If you are north or south it depends on whether you will be using the M4
