Oh what a very sad day for you. I am very sorry for your loss.
It is just agony saying goodbye to such a dear friend but it must be comforting to still have part of them living on through their progeny.
I always really admired this stallion and his progeny. I loved the bloodlines.

Oh Babs, what sad news. Yes there's one special horse in any one's lifetime and he surely was yours. He'll never be replaced or forgotten. I wish I could say time heals but I don't think it does if my experience is anything to go by but it will be so good to hear people still talking about him round the rings in years to come and watching his children and grandchildren carrying on his good work.
I bet he and Flight will be having a good old moan about the state of the showing world today like two grumpy old men.

RIP Bret from your no 1 fan, right to the end he was charismatic, a true proud stallion. Scelebrity was, as his name says a celebrity to all who knew him, he did me and my mares proud producing so many talented offspring, may he gallop with his head held high among the clouds and watch over his huge talented family.xxxx

What a dreadfully sad day for you; my heart goes out to you. I haven't had to face this yet, but I do have my horse of a lifetime and every time this kind of heartbreaking announcement is made, I feel the pangs of sorrow for the person concerned. Your horse sounds a wonderful boy and I am sure you will always remember him with huge gratitude and love.
