One of the most beautiful crabbets, very, very pretty head, though i can't find any pictures of the whole of him!
Anyone have any decendants? does his prettiness travel through? I see iridos on a previous topic is a pretty boy.

My 31 year old part bred mare SAPPHIRE has Irex 5 generations back http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/sapphire31 I have no idea what he looks like but I wonder if there is a resemblance through CHAMPURRADO, to SAHIRAH OF THE STORM and then to SAHAR who is my mares Grandsire. They all seem to be chestnut with flaxen manes with beautiful heads - same as my mare IMO

I have just noticed there is an uncanny resemblance to my mare Sapphire and Champurrado!

Wow, thanks Otto. The family resemblence is so strong! Irex looks very similar. The picture i have is in one of the crabbet convention catalogues. I'll dig it out and have let you know. A very handsome boy indeed.

| Hi there is a great grand son 10yrs Sunfield Golden King who is very much Irex type ,very pretty head,chestnut with four white socks he is in Wales.I will have to get someone to post his pic on here for you. |

I have several old Crabbet books - one is Crabbet Arabian Stud 1924 - and that has some really old photo's in it - including Naseem as a foal - born 1922 -and as a young dapple grey. There is also a picture of Rissla - born 1917 |

We had three Irex grandchildren: Aldomira a stallion by Alexus and two mares Kyshaiah by Romac and Desert Serenade by Iridos.
We now have three great grandchildren. Tsoukira by the Greatheart stallion Marania Gold, Ziadomira by the Iridos stallion Zourrak and out of the Aldomira mare Mydomira and Isamiah bint Zourrak also by Zourrak but out of the Iridos mare Iridissa.
Aldomira our first Arab stallion by the Irex son Alexus
Mydomira by Aldomira and her mother Myrana who was by the Alexus son Myrex and also traced back to the Irex daughter Moraea
Ziadomira by the Iridos son Zourrak and out of Mydomira.
Zia again, proud of her four lines to Irex, more than 90% Crabbet blood and 100% GSB pedigree.

Our stallion Zakhahn has Irex through his sire Khairho and grandsire Zourrak. He is not only beautiful but has fabulous conformation for performance and the best of all temperaments. My vet had to check there was undercarriage because he is such a sweetheart to handle, he thought I might have been mistaken when I said he was entire!

My past stallion, El Sharluke, also had Irex through his great-grand-dam, Wardi.
Therefore Kathleen, the foal by Masadi should have 3 x Irex in its bloodline.

My little mare "Dainty Dancer" has Irex on both sides - through Greatheart.
5 generation through the sires side (Convention) and 6 generations back on her dams side (Iania Dawn).
