Hi I'm hoping I can get a bit of information, I found a thread on here a while ago about Fayrelands horses but there was also a reply from someone who was a relation to the guy who owned/owns the Midoak stud.
Sadly I lost my boy (Midoak hawaiin sunset age 17)2 years ago due to an incredibly rare form of cancer, he was the most amazing horse and what I'd hoped would be my lifelong best friend. I am now at the stage where I would like something of similar breeding. He was out of Fayrelands Hawaiin Harvest (Quadeha/Fayrelands hawaiin Lady) and by Ombre Solaire (Hassani of Fairfield/Sweet constance).
I am also wondering if anyone here has any progeny from either Ombre solaire or Fayrelands hawaiin harvet or any pictures of them. Any info would be very gratefully received.

Hi Sweeny Welcome to AL. Sorry to hear that you lost your boy before his time and good luck with your search for a relative. I do have some photos for you.
I have a full sister to Fayrelands Hawaiian Harvest - her name is Fayre (Fayrelands Hawaiian Dawn) and she is now 25 years old. Here is a piccy taken this year. She is still very fit and beautiful.
I have also got this picture of your boy's mum Fayrelands Hawaiian Harvest which was taken when she was a 6 year old at the Fayrelands stud. I dont know what her foal was called that year.
Here is a picture of Quadeha
and this is Fayrelands Hawaiian Lady who was your boys grandmother.
There were a load of full brothers and sisters including Fayrelands Hawaiian Sun who did well in showing, Fayrelands Hawaiian Star who went off to the circus, Fayrelands Hawaiian Lad who is still competing in Western classes. Here is a picture of Hawaiian Sun.
They are indeed wonderful horses - definitely "lifers"!
Best wishes Debs |

Hi again Sweeny
Just to encourage you with your search.... I did manage to get a relative of my lovely Fayrelands horse.
This is my baby Jazz (Springtimer Fabulous). She is rising 5 now and is by Shulay Faberge (Eldyr x Fayrelands Silver Lace) out of Roundhills Autumn Glory (Moonshine Vision x Shepley Tiara).
Here is a picture taken in the winter when we were breaking her in.
... and here are some recent ones now that we are a bit braver.
Good luck with your search |

Wow what a stunning lady! Such a lovely gold colour. My boy is in the final throws of sheding his winter wollies and is the same dark gold with white mane and tail. He is by Fayrelands Dancing Magic out of Zyda Golden Folly. |

Hi Jayne Yes she does look very gold on that picture ... helped a bit by the setting sun me thinks!! Unfortunately a few dapples are starting to appear now but I am hoping that the saddle will cover them up at the shows! I hope all is well with Hal Debs

Hal is great thanks. We had a slight disaster at his first show on Sunday............he was very naughty in the coloured class and I ended up removing him before he could upset any more horses! Managed to get him to settle a bit and then got 2nd in the ridden arab class! Was a fairly stressful day though!

You did very well to turn it round to get a second - especially in a partbred Arab class. I dont think Palominos usually do so well in those.
It can only get better from here. Jazz went to her first ridden show a couple of weeks ago and she was a little over excited too! Have posted a summary under another thread. Keep us updated on Hal's next shows. Are you going to Malvern this year? Debs |

Have you got any pictures of Matrix? Would love to see them. I remember a picture of Fayrelands Shimmering Sun in the Palomino magazine years ago. I think she was on the TV in the background of an advert or something. Did you ever see her? Debs |

Hi all im new on here so sorry if this goes wrong!!! Can i just say Midoak Matrix is beautiful and may i add thats because he is my lads grandson!!! I own Midoak Moonraker home name Jim he is a beautiful 15.2 hh Cremello i also remember seeing Pearl as a baby!! I cannot believe my boy is a grandad he only sired one that was Pearl he was gelded after that!! I have had him nearly 9 years unfortunatly he has a form of ringbone and cannot be ridden anymore but he was a stunner under saddle. We even rode at Malvern in showjumping Qualifier!!I will post some pics on here of him!! I brought him from Dave Webb the breeder as a 4 year old and im still in touch with Dave now we have a long friendship!! Sorry to come in on the conversation.
Sweeny i have seen the Pally gelding that davids Neice is saying about he is stunning !! Better in the flesh i saw him as a 1 yr old!!
Solomans bandit what happened to your boys early years??
I would have another horse of Dave tomorrow the nature and attitiude of these horses are a credit to him...
He knows im waiting for the next Cream Colt!!
Speak soon everyone

Hi Satinbaby, I remember when you bought Jim, as it was my husband who rode him for you when you came to try him. I always chuckle when I think of him, as my dad was called Jim, and you may remember David having a big chestnut(sometimes bolshy)mare called Sandra, My mums name !!!. I would love to see your pics of him. I always planned on having one of his palominos, but got a chestnut -Midoak Mensa (TK/Eldyr).

Hi Sue I seem to remember seeing a photo of Fayrelands Gold and she was chestnut. I notice that she is listed on Allbreeds as being by Farif (? should this be Faris?) out of Maygold.
I did see Maygold in the flesh when I went to visit the Fayrelands stud. She was a dark liver chestnut with a white star. Most of her foals went into Arab racing I think. I will have a mooch through my magazines and see what I can find for you. Debs |
