Thank you Robbie! Much appreciated
I was interested in Granica as she was Gordon's full sister but interestingly has no progeny recorded in allbreed so was just wondering what she was like. Thanks for the info though

Hi,
I am looking for three pics if possible to complete the pics of Polianka's pedigree on all breeds up to 4th generation. The three that are missing are...
Pankarta, her dam Kralia and Angara
Thank you!

Hi you all! What a fantastic topic this has become. With all those great pics.
Hi Robbie, apparently you have a whole library of pics.
Do you by any chance have a picture of the Semen daughter MODA (out of Malpia) and of her daughter ACADEMY (or Akademia, out of Piatygorsk). I know some of Academy's progeny was sold at the Tersk Holland Sale, some years ago. I'd also love to see a picture of PIATIGORSK himself (Topol X Perikola) and his dam PERIKOLA.
Hope I'm not asking to much...?

To Kash:
I know Granica has at least one progeny recorded in Belgium. It's a female called J.K. Oryana (by Orayan DE), foaled in 1997. Might find out more...

Hi Azraa, you wouldnt have been looking at the bay mare Yanesca on the sales pages would you - those bloodlines tie in with hers very well |

Hello,
2. Does anyone recognize this horse? I think it's been posted here, too.
Is this not a pic of Negativ ( Naseem x Taraszcza)???
cheers Robbie |

Goodmorning,
An update on your questions:
Moda 1967 Semen x Malpia > no picture Academay 1981 Piatygorsk x Moda > no picture Piatygorsk 1976 Topol x Perikola, gelded in 1980 owing to a hernia > no picture; i know there exist a beautifull picture of him ridding at Tersk Stud by Tina Ford of Ford Arabians/USA but unfortunately we dnt have it. Pankarta 1954 > no picture Kralia 1940 > no picture Angara 1980 Naslednik x Amnah > picture send to Judith, she will post him here soon, i guess. Sinka ( Nimroz x Stihia), was sold first to Georgia and the georgian people made an auction in Holland and she was sold to the UK, where she still is , i guess Sadaga ( Dosator x Savanna) bred by Jan Calis, we dnt have a pic of her; maybe Jan has? Strij ( pronounced as Strich) was sold twice in the Tersk Sale, while still held at Tersk to a guy from Egypt; he probably never paid as Strij was sold later to Khrenovoe Stud where he is the sire of many good racehorses and thats not suprising with his pedigree and raceresults; if he is still alive, i dnt know.
well so far the update
have a nice day

Thanks for the effort and the info on Piatygorsk Robbie. I already wandered why Piatygorsk was'n used more intensively in the tersk breeding program. Now I know. Maybe I'll try to contact Tina Ford for the pic you mentioned.

Goodafternoon,
No, sorry noc pics of Angara 1947;
yes, we sold Granica to mr. John Oostervink in Belgium, when he has the studfarm and trainingcentre with Bart van Buggenhout; when that was closed, i heard that he stabled Granica with Christine Jamar, but where Grancia is now i dnt know; maybe Christine knows.

Do you by chance have any pics of Afganistan when he was at Tersk or when he was at the Tersk Holland sale, Robbie?
I know he was sold to Mr. Peeters of the Arabica stud, and I have some pictures of him at that studfarm, but I'd love to see earlier pictures of him.
I have Afganistan's "most productive" son at my stables. And I'm quite fond of that stallion... |

who knows anything about the damline Greshnica ( Kumir)- Shutka- ( Topol) Sheema- ?-?
hahahah who should know that?? Greshnica 12.04.1984 chestnut female, brand 10/84 by Kumir out of Shutka 16.02.1976 bay female by Topol out of Sheema ( Ibn Gorra x Shamaa) - line of Sharkasi - Shutka raced for 2 years, 15 starts - 6 wins-3 times second - 2 times third - Winner of the Russian Oaks in 1979.
no pics of Greshnica and Shutka; Shutka was expelled in 1984 and where Greshnica went, i dnt know, probably sold inside Russia as Tersk decided to kick out all the Sharkasi blood as the american studbook did not recogneize it; Sheema is a mare born in Egypt and imported into Russia.
cheers the Kossack Stud Robbie |
