Gosh Veruchka is lovely!
How about: Vova from Old Slav 'owner of the world' Vitaly - meaning vital Viktor - meaning victory Venedikt - from the Russian form of Benedict meaning blessed Vasili - variant of Russian 'Vasiliy' meaning King
Oooh I can't wait to start thinking of Agonia's baby names....

Kash glad you like Veruchka but at the mo her bridle path is growing out so she looks like a punk rocker and VERY hairy - she's a treasure tho!!!!
Great names - many thanks for them - fingers crossed for a happy healthy foal no matter what the sex is |

I also like the name Vangelis but i know there already is a horse by that name, think it may belong to Christine Jammar. |

Susan you are more than welcome to send me your photo and I will gladly add it for you. As a Russian enthusiast it is so nice to hear of others with these wonderful horses. Please tell us how you acquired Kadera. Jane Kadri had Gonorar at Al Waha for a few years.

I have a V ...sort of.. Prince Valiant (Veldon / Crown Princess) What a shockingly EMBARRASSING name ! Nothing to do with me, blame his breeders (friends of mine,) think they must have been drunk (or very, very desperate) when they came up with that one !
Also have Siraj bint Deepak (Deepak/Faery Ring)but I call her Khalila (beloved) Chiya (Kerim Sha/GC Chanel) Ishraq (R Ali Bey/Siraj) means delight Barakah (Oryons Prince/Siraj) means blessing.
Love those Arabic names ! |

Two things peeps. First Jingo I'm sorry but Veruchka sounds like a foot complaint. Some of the Russian names are a bit odd. One sounds like a variety of bleach!
Bakaila, can you tell me a bit about the Eastern horses. Where did they come from etc and in particular Eastern Glistening Gold. Was she a chestnut with a badly dipped back? I knew some of these horses and a friend of mine owned one which she called Goldie which had a severely dipped back. I just wonder where her offspring went and indeed what happened to her. She was put on loan apparently and never heard of and seen again. You can PM me if you don't want to further hijack the thread. Sorry folks but I had to ask this while the memory was still in gear. Thanks all |

Suelin - its all Philip Lowes fault he called her Veruka at Towerlands last year She's far from a foot complaint believe me - she grows more beautiful each year and is destined for a special boy in a year or two
We also have Veronika, Verbochka and the latest Vasili
Dunno which one sounds like bleach - at least they are "original" instead of a bit of sire and a bit of dam LOL
We don't have a domestos etc |

I think his name is Probat. Then there is Plumbum, a plumbing term?? Gorgeous horse though. Then there is a horse called Prikhot! Well I don't think we ought to go there
I'm quite sure that your filly is glorious. I'd love to come and see your horses sometime if it's not too cheeky to ask. Especially the fantabulous Toman |

Susan you would be more than welcome to call in and see us all - just take us as you find us. Our horses are happy and out over summer, so the occasional windknot could be seen
Btw Plumbum is pronounced plume boom - but I'm sure Sally - if she reads this - will let you know the meaning |
