Kash,
Do you know who originally made them? Once looking for some music I contacted the office of the film's producer and they directed me to the home of the composer! That might be your best bet. I tried googling the films and while I am sure you are looking for video that is horse related...all I seemed to come up with was similarly titled racy movies:-( |

Hi Egbert Wonder if you'd tell me who you think would be a good match for my new girl if she was put to a non Crabbet. I'm not planning on breeding myself just find the different lines really interesting and confusing too so was wondering what would be a good blend. She will go back to Caroline at some point in the future to have a Crabbet baby.

Hi Jo!
As you can imagine, I LOVE your girl! Straight Crabbet...hmmm..and a non Crabbet sire...Well experimentally my first choice would be the great Carmargue sons Ali Khamsin or WSA Charismma. Both are Seglawi which is the first rule of the Blunts to always cross Rodanias with Seglawi, and both pick up the gorgeous Naziri blood down on your girl's dam line via Risira and also Bright Shadow's granddam, Shamnar!...I think the resulting foal would be unbelieveably beautiful, smart and elegantly athletic....
Hope that helps. Wish you were going to do it! What fun it would be to see such a baby in the flesh! |

Thanks Gari I love her too she has the kindest temperament and takes everything in her stride. You never know once i've got her backed and had some fun riding her I might give it a go! Although the current climate does put you off. I must say i've always liked the look of Charismma he sounds like he has a great temperament, not familiar with Ali Khamsin so will have a look for some pics. It's nice to day dream |

hello Egbert, i really need some advice if you have a spare minute! i have a mare who im told is straight egyptian, and im also told she has very good breeding,i am certainly no expert and know embarassingly little about bloodlines, my mare has had an injury, we have done all we can but sadly it is unlikely she will be able to return to ridden work, which is a great shame as she loves it and was very sucessful at dressage, well here is the problem... she has allways been a "doing" sort of horse if you know what i mean, she thrives when she has a "job" i am concerned how she will cope with a life in the field, my vet and quite a few people have suggested putting her in foal, but i dont know how to go about finding her a suitable partner or whether its even a good idea, obviously i need to do a lot more research first but wondered what you thought. I dont know how to do the link thingy, but she is on allbreeds her name is MHS Bint Daleeha, by Ibn sudan x Ba amira Daleeha, she was eleven in june this year, i believe her parents were imported from the U.S. i could probably post pictures if you would like to see, but i need an honest opinion and perhaps pointing in the right general direction! (any resulting foal would be kept and eventually ridden) Thankyou Emma

Lynda, I think Ibn Sudan died from heart failure a year or so ago Such a shame, as he looked like such a nice boy, and has some lovely progeny.

Ibn Sudan spent his last year with my family, and sadly died of heart failure Minty, would love to hear who you decide to use if you do breed from your girl - we are still upset we never got round to using old Dan on my girls prior to losing him |

Oh Jade, Am so sorry for your loss. Would love to see any pictures you can share of Ibn Sudan. He must have been absolutely gorgeous if the pedigree is a measure. |

Update on the WORLDS BEST HORSE by Lady Wentworth...Found something very interesting and that is that Mahruss's great granddam was believed the progenitor of the parti colored markings....named Tabbukh. She was a Wadnan Hursanieh/Khirsnieh of the Muntaghaj!
There is also a very very interesting passage on the Palomino Arabians and Barbs. |

Hi Althea!
Definitely from Maximus and I've not even run the pedigree, but Maximus himself and his dam are both considered Sabino.
That said, we know the original coloration came via Ali Pasha Sherif's bloodlines through the Muntaghaj tribe-which I believe could be traced to Persia, and the Muntaghaj were breeders of the mare Tabbukh who was the great granddam of Mahruss. Also the parti coloration where there are pinto-like markings seems to come nearly exclusively to a strong admixture of Mahruss with Rodania and Mesaoud!
Interesting Ssweet Fantasy carries the Mahruss with Rodania and Mesoud blood but not as heavily as is found in Picasso Kossack. Ssweet Fantasy must be very lovely as her dam line is Kuhailan Jellaby and known for beautiful, dishy heads, big eyes. BUT it is also argued that in fact she traces to Ghazieh - same as Bint Helwa and mtDNA demonstrates that. Interestingly, Shakfantasy is a Seglawi Jedran who traces via Bint Helwa to Gazieh so would expect Ssweet Fantasy to be lovely!
LVA Maximas carries the Sabino/Mahruss via *Carmargue (doubled) through Rissalix as well as *El Shaklan who most likely carried the Mahruss gene through his Crabbet/Spanish lines as well as his Straight Egyptian sire's who also carries heavy Crabbet blood via Rodania and Mesaoud.
Gee, Alethea, any chance of seeing a picture? Judging from the pedigree your youngster should be very very lovely and a potential breeding stallion!
Would love to see some photos of your youngster! There is one other thing that comes from Mahruss-tremendous intelligence. Tho' not the sire line, with a heavy infusion, would expect your chap can be a bit mischieveous and full of himself...? |

Kash, you are wonderful! Thank you so much for posting the allbreeds cite.
Stephanie,
All I can say is WOW!!! What an incredible filly and what an incredible pedigree! She must be absolutely stunning and somewhere out of this world with that pedigree.
Her sire line is to Amurath via some of the most beautiful stallions to ever appear on earth starting with Amurath's son, Amurath Sahib and moving through Arax, Nabeg, Menes, the AWE-INSPIRING Kubinec, his son US National Champion, FS BENGALI, your girl's paternal grandsire. Her sire, Emir Ibn Essteema's pedigree reads like the Who's Who of Arabdom. Neschi his 5th dam is a Kilimandscharo daughter, renowned for conferring an exotic look for generations, out of Nevada considered one of the most beautiful Kuhailan mares to ever leave Tersk!
ADH Esstaana's dam is equally illustriously bred being by International Champion Psyches Spirit, a Res US National Champion stallion, Padron's Psyche son and out of Aja EEcho Bey out of Bey Santeyna, a daughter out of US National Champion Mare Bey Teyna a sister of US National Champion mare, Shahteyna of the TW Forteyna family. In other words your little girl is a full fledged member of one of the most powerful mare families in the world that of the great Spanish mare line Zulima, a Seglawi al Abd. Your girl is super beautiful, conformed, intensely loyal to you and loves you with all her heart (this line needs it's special human and am assuming you are it!). The line has superb motion and should be very showy. If you aren't showing her, you are probably making a big mistake. Properly conditioned she should wow everyone.
Would love to see a picture! Thank you for posting such a wonderful filly. She would be not just an outstanding show filly but the penultimate war mare!

Hi Gari I would like to thank you again for your help, you looked in to my boy's pedigree just before I bought him, I have put some pic's of him on a couple of other threads but I thought it would be nice to put some on here especially with the splash of white- and the recent discussion! Would there be a strong chance he has this due to Rodania/Mesaoud/Mahrruss being in his pedigree? Sorry to those who have already seen these Here he is -'Tahyesh Ibn Montroze'-http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/tahyesh+ibn+montroze
Thanks, Bex. |
