At the moment there are several but standouts are WH Justice (is he in the UK?), WSA Charissma, Ali Khamsin... |

So interesting to read about pedigrees, my mare can trace back on both sides to Mesaoud, Rose of Sharon and has some amazing horses in her lines including Skowronek, Naseem and Somara. Had her too late unfortunately to carry on the line. |

Natalie,
Meant to point out that what you should look at is Seglawi stallions, the three above representative of outstanding Seglawi stallions...But there are more. The tail female lines you would be looking for are
Bint Helwa, Basilisk, *Wadduda Milordka, Zulima |

Hi Susan,
Beautiful sire line of Abu Mlech through Trypolis, Enwer Bey, Banat...very athletic...the bays are stunning and Nemesiah's dam line is to the great Seglawi Bint Helwa.
Nuala's dam line is to Takritiyah, OA imported in '39 from the desert apparently and is a Juaithnieh Hamad. I know absolutely nothing of this tail female or strain. There is an enormous amount of beauty within the pedigree from both sire and dam so would assume you have a lovely, athletic mare. Am going to try to find more because you are the second person to present a tail female: Takritiyah. |

Oh No, Georgia! How horrible. What a beautiful stallion Nazdromal was-if the photo on the all breeds is at all representative. What a huge loss! Am so very very sorry.
With that pedigree-the foal must be wonderful. Can't wait to see photos.
Susan,
There is very very little Egyptian blood comparatively. There is, on the other hand a high percentage of Polish and Crabbet/Old English.
Edited to add:
Your 4 generation going top to bottom with 16 horses in the pedigree: Polish, Polish, Polish, Polish, Polish, 1/2Polish 1/2 Crabbet, 1/2 Russian 1/2 -1/2 Crabbet/American, Spanish-Egyptian/English, Spanish/Egyptian, Crabbet/Egyptian, Polish, Polish, Crabbet, Crabbet/Desert

Find all this so intersting, being new to the site. My mare traces back to early Crabbett, Mesaoud, and has Rose of Sharon and Skowronek on both side, would loved to have bred from her but didn't get her until quite late she is now 23.

Hi Lulu,
What a shame as those few horses sound most promising of a fine pedigree. |

You must be frightfully busy but if you have a moment I would love some Egberty thoughts on the likely qualities of the foal due in 2008 from H Tobago and DA Fiestaa (Echo Magnificoo x Cheyanne)- I can't figure out how to post a link to allbreeds - the url doesn't come up on my computer, sorry! But if you type in da fiestaa she will come up!
Fiestaa is the dam of Fantasiaa Arabians' international multi-champion stallion MB Capritzioo - and I think they are rather hoping for 'another Capritzioo' from this match!
If you have another moment, Fiestaa's daughter MB Fantasiaa is also in foal to Tobago, and Fantasiaa's daughter MB Noaa is due to be AI'd to him soon...
Quite unusual I think to have 3 generations bred to the same stallion in the same year...Nancy clearly thinks these bloodlines will be a good match!
If some kind person could either tell me how to post these allbreeds links or do it for me to save Egbert the trouble of looking them up, I'd be most grateful! |

Hi Georgia,
Llite Baroud Ibn Gomel: What a little cutie!Sire line Amurath Sahib-very powerful and confers a distinctly Seglawi look on very Kuhailan pedigree-via Razina and on to Rodania...So you have a very high quality youngster with the strength of the Kuhailan with a touch of the Seglawi...You will be able to show him both halter and performance.
Bia, you are awesome! Many thanks! (names work for me! Your imagination is delightful!)
Ok! Got that Kate? Tobago x Fiestaa should be very interesting....It is a Kuhailan pedigree but if the TF of Wild Thyme kicks in magically as she frequently does, this could be a youngster that exceeds all expectations. There are some awesomely beautiful horses in that pedigree-Aza Destiny was to die for; *Soufian exemplified the Seglawi as does Echo Magnifficcoo and that should carry through on this cross-everything a tad longer than what you would see with the sire.
Frantasiaa brings in another line to Bey Shah...However as both sire and dam are chestnut the *Bask blood doubled here would probably give a little extra beauty, very fine throat latches, nice eye and high stepping action.
This one to Noaa is virtually the same but this time the up close doubling is to Padron. This again should see brilliant action but a much more rounded very powerful Kuhailan look.
Sire line Nazeer; dam line to Wild Thyme a Kuhailan Ajuz for all three just a little different influence in each breeding from the dam, granddam and greatgrandam...Very interesting...
Seriously all, am really so looking forward to meeting you ...just wondering if I'll need to bring along scuba gear...you know flippers, mask, breathing device...???

Thank you very much Egbert - I thought you might find these 3 generations intriguing! - and as always I learn something new from your analysis!
If you could bear to do one more, MB Naomi (Padrons Kadar x Eevangeline DS) at the same stud is also in foal to Tobago...
Love the names Bia! (I really want to buy the fabulous RL Cotton Candy to breed to him, so I can call the baby 'Toblerone'...)

This could be the most important yet...dam line is definitely Seglawi via Milordka...so masses of courage, beauty, loyalty, love...Now what is interesting is which one will precipitate out...the *Padron or the Menes. My bet is on *Menes-you'll have a bay...more Kuhailan looking but nevertheless more exotic than most and very very athletic. A phenomenal mover who will take awhile to mature but once she/he does...the result will a stunner. Can't wait to hear what is born!
Edited to add:
Perhaps someone out there has wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers? Short term loan? Maybe a rowboat? |

We have two boats being "stored" here at the moment Egbert, I will bring one to the seminar for you!!!! Can also provide snorkel, flippers, mask and a swimsuit just in case it's wet and "warm"!!! Sorry will have to fail on the wetsuit though.
Carla, xx.
Edited to add: I forgot to mention that Tahir bint Malika has been scanned in foal to Taj el Nil, I know you said that this would be a good cross many pages ago (thankyou) and we are all so excited!!! |
