| no definatly as far as i can see no polish unless you include skowronek .We are familiar with Farette bacause we own Spey crystal who is a farette G grandaughter,through Farosa her mother,thought by some, to be one of Farette's most beautiful daughters. |

Farette is definately all Crabbet/English breeding. And yes Libby Farosa was beautiful, I had the pleasure of spending a couple of years with her in the 80's when I worked for Iona Bowring. I didn't know Spey Crysttal as she had been sold before I went there, but I did have Crystal Farifi and Crystal Farosa her full sisters. It's good to hear she doing well.

| Jak thats lovely "Rosie" as she is known at home is 24 and is the alpha female so to speak no one will argue with her!Iona actually bred Rose so thats lovely to hear of someone familiar with her bloodlines!I allways loved Farifi, i though she was a glorious mare,is she still alive? |

I haven't heard any news of Fifi for years. She was lovely, it was a shame she was never shown apart from as a yearling, she had a large bog spavin which put a stop to her show career, although we did take her to Ascot in 1984 as part of Farosa's winning Princess Muna group - your Rosie and Crystal Farosa (also known as Rosie!) were the rest of that group. I have a nice photo of that group if you are interested I can e mail it to you.

Hi All,
Does any of you have a photo of Farette or her sire Rifari and her dam Shabrette? If you do, I'd be VERY grateful to see it. I have been looking for pictures of these horses for a long time, but they have been impossible to find.
I'm doing a 5 generation photo pedigree for a horse with Bey Shadow as a great grand sire and I'm missing not only the afore mentioned horses but also Bey Shadow's daughter Khayala, her dam Merrymount Emma and both hèr parents as well: (Shams El Dahab x Farissa).
I hope you can help - it's encouraging to hear that the lines are still breeding on.

Crystal Farifi is by Crystal Magician out of Farosa, I have photos of Farosa, there was a headshot of Crystal Magician on the "reverse zorro" quiz thread recently. Have to go to work this morning but I will see if I can master posting photos later today!

Thanks Jackie. I have found mention of Makheeleha in the Arab News of Winter 1990 and also Crystal Farifi when they were with Pat Bowles. My friend wants to put Makheeleha in foal and so we needed her bloodlines in order to find a stallion for her.
Gail has never owned an arab before and is completely smitten. She actually fell in love with mine and then wanted her own. She was very lucky and only paid 100 pounds for her as the lady was desperate. Lucky thing. The rest of us would have to probably pay a fortune for these bloodlines. |

The picture of Shabrette is from the 1985 Crabbet Convention Catalogue and was used to illustrate the Farette group rather than Farette herself, so as I can't seem to find a picture of Farette anywhere, I'm assuming that photos of her are pretty rare. I won't stop looking though - I like a challenge!

Hi Jackie, I saw Crystal Farifi about 3 years ago here in West Wales, she was with a lady who sadly died not long after I met her, I believe her daughter kept the horses, she looked well though a tad on the fat side. We have a Crystal Magician mare out of Moon Moth who's still going strong at 26, we also have a mare by Fabberge who was full brother to Spey Crystal which is why I was interested in this thread. I only visited once, but I could try and find out if Farifi is still alive and in the area,

It would be lovely to know if Farifi was still alive. I've tracked down Silver Sheens daughters that I knew when I was with Mrs B, so it would be lovely to have news of Farosas as well. They were all very special horses. Any news would be great.
