Hi everyone, I have just bought myself a PBA mare. She has come from France but from allbreedspedigree it looks like she has some british roots. Her sire is Kalhan and her grandsire on the dam side is Sirocco Sky. Can anyone shed any light on her pedigree or did they know Kalhan?
I have had a look at Kalhan's pedigree. I don't know the sire of Kalhan's side, but can tell you a little about the dam's side. Scindian Magic was British bred, and was owned and bred by Mrs Alison Hardcastle. Autumn Bronze, I believe was also British bred, and was by Listopad who had been imported from Russia. Listopad was owned by Miss Margaret Evans. Castanea was also British bred.
If you can let me know the dam of Kalhan, I might be able to help more.
Hi Lynda, Thanks for your reply. I thought he may well be British bred. I've been doing a bit of research and its amazing how addictive it is. It looks like Sirocco Sky is polish but I'm still drawing a blank on Kalhans sire Moulouki. My little french mare Didi is afterall a mixture of English, Russian,Polish and Je ne sais quoi
