I'm thinking about using an arab or PBA on one of my Fell mares this year or perhaps next. She is built a bit finer than most Fells, but is really well put together with lovely movement which a few people have suggested an arab would complement.
I am wondering about the possibility of finding a homozygous PBA so that colour could add a little bit extra to any offspring.
I'm not the type to breed without a lot of thought, so please don't think "what planet is this frog from"!! This is just an idea at this stage! I took 2 years to choose a Fell stallion for this mare, so I don't do it lightly!

If you look on the stallion/stud section there are a few coloured's advertised A friend of mine has a Fell X 'd with palomino show hunter type pony who is PB Arab and her mare is a cracker

Do you have any piccies? I've only seen one Fell x arab so far and it was a nice looking pony too.

nice stallions. Thinking of putting our chestnut halfbred arab in foal and would like a coloured stallion for her if we do. mainly for the fact she injured her self last year and we want to give her the best chance possible of healing properly before bringing into work, so 2 years of for producing and rearing a foal would do her good.
