All,
Anyone know where I can find information on Kingsize born 1991 (Gusar x Karinka (Aswan x Karta). I think he stands in Russia possibly the Tersk Stud, I also believe he won the Russian Derby in 1994. I would like to know his race form if possible.
Thanks,
Paul

The only thing I found is not good news I'm afraid
Copy follows:
KINGSIZE IS DEAD Today we had to put Kingsize to sleep. He had been sick for some time, and treatement did not work.
Kingsize was the best of Russian breeding. He had been chief sire at Tersk State stud for 9 years. He was an exceptional stallion, both in his looks and his being. He was ridden by our 10 year old daughter Anna. He had the best tempment ever seen on a stallion. He will be deaply missed.
The two foals born this year is out of him. The young colt looks like he will make the loss a bit easier.
For us a legend is gone. Thanks for the time we had KINGSIZE.

Hi Paul,
Kingsize was sold in Tersk Holland Sale in 2002 to Norway - his racing details were 1/3(1-0-0). He was sire of Pikirovka who I believe was sold to the Adkins (they may have details for you) Also he was sire of Dean Ingham's Red Adrenalyne. We bought a filly last year by Gusar (Kingsize sire) photos of her are on our website. Why not contact kossack stud - I am sure they may be able to give you more info. |

Thanks Jude and Mills very helpful although his race record isn't quite as good as I was hoping, although it is friend who is interested in a Kingsize offspring.
Love your website Jude its superb and you have some truly beautiful horses there and some superbly bred future Russian brides for young Tommy. I saw him at Al Waha a few years ago probably just after you bought him, he looked special then and he looks even more so now. I loved his sire Grand and would have used him but wasn't breeding at the time. I think he is one of the finest examples of Russian x English crosses around.
There are some very well bred Russian race mares in your collection - I don't suppose we shall be seeing any Auchmillan Arabians on the racetrack in the near future will we?
I think Paula and Sean are doing my site at the moment - they are just brilliant at web design!
Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Paul you are so kind, hope you can come and see the "Ruskies" in the flesh. I look forward to seeing your website. Paula and Sean are true stars
The Marcipan filly has the "will to win" she NEVER wants to be behind, so who knows - she'll either end up under saddle before being a wife for Tom.
We haven't any plans just at the moment to go racing - the last horse of ours to go was Sherez - (Aboud x Shireema) he did reasonably well. One or two of the Diamond Stars went on the track!!!
