This is the first year for this new National Championships starting next week. They split all the Dressage, Hunter/Jumper and Sport Horse in hand and under saddle from the main US Nationals. My daughter (who is still British) will be competing with an Anglo and a Pinto Partbred in Dressage and Sport Horse. She leaves on Sunday for a 20 hour drive to Virginia, stopping over night in Nashville—I'm flying on Monday.
I will be writing a report on this show for the Link. There are 450 horses entered with 1500 class entries for this 5 day show. It promises to be a great show, with some Arab owners showing who have not done so for over 10 years. I won't be at the main US Nationals this year—first time in 22 years, as I'll be 'down under' judging. Liz Salmon
