Who was later exported to the US. I am tempted to think that in selecting Gharib, Marbach had one eye on their main concern of breeding warmbloods. Something that he was extremely successful at. As was the Norus son El Norus, who covered between 20 & 30 warmblood mares every year. Gharib was one of those horses that you either loved or hated but he is one of the few sources of a long shapely neck within SE bloodlines, he was also an extremely athletic horse, a quality that he also passed on consistently.
