B.A.C Stands for British Arabian Championship.
We unfortunatly haven't been for a couple of years, but when we last went in 2000, it was a nice friendly show, quite calm & well organised, with very good stables & a nice surface.
Good luck

thanks libby for reply. B.A stands for british arabian. my friend qualified and is taking her 3 year old gelding,i had an idea it would be sedate, shame, was hoping we could woop it up...might just try, could start a new trend or get thrown out!!! used to show cobs myself, untill i found arabs (wont go back now),so know how sedate these shows can be. thanks. |

Hi
My brother goes to Hartpury College. He's not horsey (although he likes horsey girls!) but he can always be called on if you need a support party.
Let me know,
Caroline |

Hi d.pratchet
I agree with what sadika said on the se.com forum. Are you showing the horse yourself?. Good Luck at the show.

Hello mole, my first year aswell. Think numbers etc will be waiting for us.....Hope so any way. Are you staying overnite and having the meal? Should be good fun. Hi Cass, I think most people I've encountered in the ridden world do have fun! There isn't any where near the fuss made over the ridden as in-hand.....No real money involved, or the back-stabbing, and down-right nastiness that reared it's ugly head a few times this year!! I go to watch, learn and enjoy......It's a bloody expensive hobby for me, so sod 'em....I'm enjoying!!

hi tina, totally agree with you...how ever we dont do the ridden anymore. we have 3 horses, 1 colt and 2 mares and enjoy the in-hand.our horses are kept at livery,so yes its bloody expensive, there is the bitchiness, but all the time our horses and ourselves have FUN we will continue to enjoy it all...nothing more satisfing(spelling?) than home producing your own and seeing them placed and going on. |

Hello Tina, How did you do yesterday? I think I saw you in the senior geldings as we were driving back along the drive. Was it you? Seeing as I had hardly ridden him for three weeks, Lance did OK, came third in the ridden, but 8th in hand (not enough condition!!) and final position was fourth. I was very happy with that.

Well done Roseanne. Charlie came 4th ridden and 4th in-hand so overall 4th. I was quite disappointed, as i think he should have done better! Jawhari and Malekeiro(EEK...spelling!) came above him in the ridden, judge couldn't get M to canter and both were v naughty, but what do i know.....I went thinking they were to be judged as a 'riding horse'. In the in-hand he was the only horse to 'trot' like an arab, tail up and off he went, makes me wonder if i should bother! Very disheartened! Tina.
