Oh God, your poor parents!!My daughter passed her test in January. I have hardly seen my car since - it doesn't feel as though it belongs to me; my keys are now adorned with her blood donor and fizzy bubble keyrings; her boyfriend seems to naturally get into the front seat; I ALWAYS have to adjust the driver's seat when I get in; The Thrills and The OC soundtrack are always in the tape in place of my wonderful music (!!!) and I am now having to remember to ring her when I need to be picked up from work. And this is all in the interests of 'independence'. It's a jolly good thing she doesn't ride or I'd never see my Transit lorry which can be driven by a 17 year old!!
In jest Katie, very well done. Freedom for you (if not your parents...). congratulations Katie, |

Congratulations Katie. My 17 year old son passed his test in February, so I feel for your parents, they probably worry when you are out late now just as we do. How did you find getting insurance, my sons insurance is sky high.
Enjoy yourself and keep safe. Nicky |

Thanks everyone,
Louisa- Will have to remember to put some thick clothes on if the whip will be present!!! Yeah a night out sounds good when I've had a bit of experience!
Nicola- When I bought my car mum had to put it in her name as I didnt have a full licence and then add me to it with her no claims bonus its about &800 but Now i've passed I am going to transfer it all to my name so I can start building a no claims for myself and getting it to drop! Im with ASDA car insurance give them a call I believe Tesco is supposed to be cheap as well!
Thanks again everyone I know longer have to get 4 buses to work and stand waiting in all weathers ha ha!! |
