I got on my girl for the first time on Tues night! I lay over her back in the stable she was very quiet so I tried going on her properly and am delighted to say she was fine. I am so pleased and will continue just to take it easy. Its amazing the trust they have with you, I was very emotional - my baby!!! - Sad isn't it!!!
well done!!!!!!!!! i started my filly a month ago, i remember exactly how you must feel. Totally amazing when you first get on isn't it? And the trust these horses have in us, what a great feeling! Keep it up
Yeah you are right the feeling is amazing. I expected her to do something, but no she just stood there and looked round at me a couple of times as if to say what are you doing up there?!!
How exciting!! Im starting my girl soon - Ive not got on her yet but have been faffing about leaning over her back and making a right fuss - shes the same just turns her head and looks at me as if to say, "what are you doing mum? you're making a right racket" ...
