I'm trying to trace the last registered owner of Silver Hussar as my Mum has recently bought him and would like to transfer ownership. Thought I may as well start at the beginning!
He's a chestnut gelding with flaxen mane and tail, two hind stockings and a blaze. He's around 15.1/15.2.
As far as we've been told, he's about 16 and we believe was bred in Scotland. If anyone knows him, or who bred him could they please email me at gemma.bishop@ge.com
Thanks, Gemma

Mr Bruce bred nearly all of them with a few exceptions which it looked like she may have been on breeding loan.
That is the last entry in the stud book 19, will look on the database when I have more time.

Thanks very much!! This is great, BUT...... Sharma is chestnut, not grey! And he's a gelding now (though that's not to say he was gelded late!). He does have a roan effect over most of his body - not enough to make him a strawberry roan - chestnut roan maybe?!
So, is this the same horse? I don't have any piccies of him up on the internet - will see if I can post something tomorrow. |

Gemma,
when they are very young and registered, it often says Chestnut/Grey.(either possible)
I spoke to the peaple (Gores) who bought my fellow as a foal from Lodge Farm (Maxwells) and he was liver chestnut, he is now grey and going liver fleebiten.
Do let us know if you find out anymore.

That makes sense then. Born a chestnut - not sure if he's going to go grey so register as both, stays a chestnut.
This is great, thanks so much.
Don't suppose anyone's got any contact details for Mr Bruce? |
