I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to the organisers of the NWRG show. We had a thoroughly great day on Sunday, Aintree is just a fantastic venue and we enjoyed the whole day immensely. Congratulations to Stuart, Debbie and family on their second only arab show getting a very credible second in the yearling colt class with Psyngali LA and of course my daughter Beth winning young handlers (the trophy is huge) and although she was 4th out of 4 in the mare class she was awarded 87 points which she was thrilled with Great show, great horses and great venue, thanks everyone at NWRG

A big thanks to the organisers from me as well. The arena was fantastic one of the best I have ever been in so cool, light and airy. The stabling again was brilliant but my only concern was the massive walk from the stables to the arena it seemed to take forever. I am not sure what we would have done if we had not had anyone in the arena phoning us as there was no announcements in the stabling area. Having said all that I had a great time. Thanks for all your hard work. Andrea. |

thank you all for your nice comments. the committee worked their socks off to make this new venue work, and as far as we have heard the only comment was the distance from the stabling. However those who remember shows at eg Haydock will also remember that there was a long walk to the stables, and I think its a small price to pay for stables that are clean and secure.
the only 2 times I have used stabling at a show they were disastrous, one a canvas temporary stable you couldn't swing a cat in that was flooded, the other brick and hadn't been mucked out for months before we used it, had foot high toadstools.
no one mentioned the surface, we thought it was brilliant for both riders and in hand horses.
We are looking forward to next year there at our more regular time slot the early bank holiday weekend at the beginning of May.

Yes it was a long walk but my god the view was well worth it I took a Picture on my phone of us riding back if anybody could put it on for us that would be great.
Thankyou again and well done to you all

I would just like to say a big "thank you" to everyone for their lovely comments. Running the show is hard work but it makes it all worth while to hear that everyone had such a good time. The show was our first one at this venue and we are all very happy with how it went.
We are already working on ways to improve the show (eg communication to the stables)and I hope to see everyone there again next year.
Thank you for your continued support
