My daughter Kate, entered the Race For Life today and from 2700 entries she managed to complete the 5k course in just under 26mins - came in around 20th.
Kate ran for all our friends who have and are struggling with this awful disease at the moment, our thoughts are with you all. Be brave and keep going, we are all thinking of you.
It was a lovely day, full of fun and laughter and in the wonderful sunshine.

Well done! I did it 2 years ago with my 3 month pregnant daughter and we had to walk around as she was being careful, but it was a wonderful feeling to complete, and as for coming around 20th... |

Huge well done!!! Fantastic achievement for such a worth while charity!
Sazzle - where do you get the energy from? I managed a 5K a few years ago but now show my support through donations... haven't got the energy to do it anymore

Huge well done, mum and I did it last year to celebrate her finishing treatment for breast cancer and it was one of the most moving experiences and to see all that support out there to help stamp it out and find a cure was an inspiration that spurred me on all the way round. Well done and thanks to everyone that takes part, sponsors, donates etc. |

Very well done Kate! Fantastic achievement to come 20th out of that many people! And what a fantastic cause to raise money for. Hopefully, one day, we will make cancer a thing of the past. |
