There are reasons for it to have been moved. AL members contacted us stating not only that several people and entities are involved in provinding better care of the horses, but also that there can be more serious issues at stake and we really thought it was adequate to move it outside public view.
Every decision regarding issues such as these is taken carefully. Nothing is simple, whether the decision is to allow a post or to move it outside public view. What you all see here is just a part of a reality that is, more often than not, much more complex than it seems.
You can agree or disagree, but ultimately the buck stops with us and we had to make the call, all things considered. Attention has been drawn to the horses situation and I expect the members who contacted us to keep providing info on the welfare of these horses.
I am locking the thread because it's pointless to discuss the merits of the decision to remove it from public view. We, on AL, will keep on doing our best to help in any situation where horse's welfare is at stake.
