There is a photo of Shulay Montana, quite near the bottom of the page:
http://www.shulaystud.com/
Really wish I could go along, but I am stuck in work. Is there anybody who can go along?
Oddellie it will be tomorrow. Always the last Thursday of every month.

Taranstorm ive been seraching on the net to see if i can find anything out about the arab filly & so far have drawn a blank. Has anyone heard of the owner Mr P W Bull?? It doesnt ring any bells with me & i dont reckonise it as one of the dealers names either, so im guessing shes from a private home? I think the Shulay mare will actually fetch a good price, shes a pali & they do seem to sell well. |

OMG Shulay Montana is a lovely mare a lovely strong colour , i remember her when she belonged to one of Karen Gribben`s friends ! She`ll be 16 yrs old now , her dam was full sister to the dam of Jacala Morning Gold,Shulay Gold Dust`s dam & they had the same sire (Eldyr) |

Does anyone know who owns Shulay Montana, she looks gorgeous, such a shame for such a well bred girl. Would love to know if she is still rideable & her height as I'm on the lookout for a riding mare for my OH, can't go tommorow as in France! |

Hi Margo Its such a shame , i had a look at the Llanybydder sales catalogue & it said that shes broken & been hunted & shes bred about 3 foals & was brought back into work last winter ....Damn it i need to find myself a rich man i think ! I have txt Linda Lyall to see if she`d like her ,Linda`s place is like a palace , i`ve also had a PM from someone saying that they are going to the sales tomorrow ! X |

I was wondering the same ? Unfortunately the lady who was going to go to the sales today found out that a PBA youngster she`s was very fond of had fallen into a dealers hands & was at Ashford sales today so she had to go there instead ! I spoke to Linda Lyall on the phone earlier as she was wondering how it went ...its just unfortunate that Llanybydder is so far away & im sure that if times weren`t so hard Margo or i would have snapped her up as we both know her of old ! |

I was there, I saw the filly she was wonderful, her details are wrong in the catalog, according to her owner. She had heaps of potential, very calm, friendly, beautiful temperament great to handle. Owner seemed knowledgeable, she was pretty much show trained and he told he he'd taken the dam to the British Championships.
She's been advertised on the internet for quite awhile for £1250 but he had alot of time wasters and he only has an acre, and the mare is in foal again so she had to go. Stud fee for the stallion was £600 down from £800 because he knew the owner had a feeling he wasn't letting her go for less than £800 didn't seem keen on telling me though. There were quite a few people interested in her. I would have bought her but due to my circumstances I really couldn't . I think he thought he'd get over £1000 for her pretty optimistic as most youngsters were lucky to get over £300 and the only youngsters that were reaching that were cobs and coloureds. Tried hanging round to see her but couldn't in the end. She was a very special filly though, I hope she's found a nice home. |
