My daughters pony foaled this little beauty early Saturday morning. We all think she looks Arabie and I reckon my Crabbet was secretly in foal and has palmed her off onto the 12.2hh pony! We are thrilled to bits with this gorgeous filly - the first one we've ever bred.
I'm sure there's Arab in there..... what do you think?
We are incredibly happy, thank you. She has her front teeth already and sucking away on grass, milkmaids, anything within reach. My Arab really wants to get at her (for the right reasons) but has only met her over the gate so far. She's gone very maternal but I cant find a 100% Crabbet locally. Winged Saint has gone to his new home in Cumbria and he was going to be daddy. My mare is gorgeous and the world deserves another Cassie. Plus my daughter is 13yrs old and is amazing with horses, especially high spirited ones, so the foal will have a home for life. Just need the stallion. Any suggestions?
Hi, just spotted your post. Did you know that Winged Saint will be available by AI by 2010? If you would consider AI for your mare, he could still be an option for next year. The Seren Stud where he now resides have a website and would be delighted to answer any questions I'm sure if you'd like to know more. My own mare is up there now and I have found them very helpful.
That is such good news. I'm definetly interested although heartbreakingly my lovely mare had a terrible field accident last week playing with our tb. They hit head on and she has Sweeney shoulder. I'm trying to find more info on it and will be posting on here to see if anybody else has had this injury to their Arab. I've been told she'll end up just a pet but I'm not giving up that easy, and neither is Cassie.
Thanks for the info. Will do seperate post now. Alison
