I have had Eba (now three) in a training bit for a while and thought it about time I got her a proper one. I was just about to get a french link with cheek pieces as I haven't put a noseband on her bridle, and then I came across information about the KK Ultra bits from Sprenger.

Has anyone used them? What do you think? Are they worth the cost?

I am not so much looking at it in terms of price, as I am trying to slowly build up equipment for her, but I don't want to spend unneccessarily.

Any thoughts or advice welcome.

B

I ride at home with my pure bred. She is fine with it, though gets a bit strong at times out on a hack.

I was interested in the responses here too! Am I right in thinking that you measure the KK bits slightly differently from others?

Are they good for horses that get their tongue over the bit? She doesn't do it in a resisting way, more for her own entertainment but if she was to suddenly charge off I would have no control and its very off-putting.
