Really well. Had a lovely ride except for managing to go from CP 4 to CP3 about 4 times so it was longer than scheduled. No excuse as I did the ride last year Had a bit of an issue with the Myler combination which Spider wasnt happy with as soon as I did it up and had to borrow another bit with no nose attachment from my very well prepared new riding companion Sarah. We got a grade 2 huzzah! Thats good for us as Spider is way too excited by the time we get to the vets to produce a low heart rate. He started on 40 and ended on 47. I even upgraded us to 'Open' just in case I ever want to ride that fast or Tabita buys an Open horse and I want to ride with her.
Heres a photo of my father being dragged around by Spider post ride. Didnt get any of me which is a shame as it was my 45th birthday and my rider number was you-guessed-it 45.
How did you and Marygold get on? I looked out for you but didnt spot you. Was it FREEZING camping? Jx
Why do they do that 'spot the horse on the horizon' thing? Its not like Spider's ever raced and he does that too. Glad I'm not the only one that happens to. Well done on the Grade 1. Whats next? Next for us is Novice 28 on Thurs Nothing like a change..
