What do you all think about it, ive had differing opinions from people, am asking, as livery is considering getting it instead of straw or shavings, because its more compostable.

I used it for years and think its brilliant. Its light, absorbent, easy to muck out, dust free etc and relatively cheap in comparison to shavings. I changed to paper as I have a supplier local to me and its cheaper than Ecobed for the same weight.
I would say, however, that it is not suitable for deep littering. And you need to get busy with the broom if, like me, you don't like it blowing around the yard. |

Dear Gossy,
Hope you got my pm... In answer to this post, I used it for a while and thought it was great when first down, but after a while found it became dusty. Also I ended up taking so much of it out to keep the beds nice which meant that the muckheap ended up with rather more cardboard than poo and it does not rot down well under those circs! I have switched back again to shavings, and have bought from a company which produce the most dustfree shavings ever. I will pm you their name happily - am not sure if I can mention their name on here publicly. Ribi now has a bed that befits a princess again..
Much love,
Pxx |

Hi Peg,
No i havent rec'd your PM?? would love to know the name of the shavings, some people have recently advised me that some horses have actually died from breathing in or eating the cardboard bits, so a little hesitant of them.
Glad Ribi has a lush bed, lovely to know that she is well, hope everyone else is to, i look forward to receiving pm.
