I thought the 'moley' thing had all died down. I had flattened the mole hills in my awning after their last attack and i thought the little buggers had moved on to annoy some other innocent soul. But no!!! Alas they're back! Have they nothing better to do then pick on me? The cat is sat poised to attack but they are very sneaky and only dig when were all occupied else where. I am a very intelligent woman, a degree in Eng/Psychology, but the exploits of these little critters leaves me quite speechless! I used to think they were harmless, blind little souls, but they have up'd their game how do you stop them? suppose I should google them but i would welcome all suggestions?
I seem to remember reading somewhere once long ago that sticking those toy windmill-on-a-stick on their hills works a treat. Don't know if it's true or not though! Sounds a bit unlikely...
Said the little eohippus, "I´m going to be a HORSE"
More cats? One of mine is an expert mole catcher...... He's useless at killing them - I'm sure he brought the same one in 10 times two years ago - but he'll catch them for you!
We used traps and caught about 40 on our 5 acres. They are about still but much less hills. Someone suggested leving a mole in the hole!!!.. to prevent others visiting. Not sure if this works. Will try it next time.
