Do you go to a normal garage with these or is it neccessary to use a Land Rover specialist? Does anyone know a Landi mechanic near Blackpool?

depends how old it is , the newer ones have computer controls which will need a specialist garage, so best to go to a dealership

There's a mechanic in Freckleton who restores series 1 2 & 3 Defenders and has a lifetime of knowledge on Land rovers. May be worth giving him a call (01772 635280) as he might be able to advise you where to go if he can't do it himself. Also I think Midgeland Rd Garage carry out work on Land Rovers.

Also, do a search for Land Rover clubs and forums. They are great places to get help and recommendations!
