Hi all my friend at the yard has owned Khaut for six months He is a bay gelding born 23/03/99 she would like to know if anyone knows anything about him good or bad His sire is Khairouan and his dam is Florys De Nautiac He was bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Thanks any info greatly appreciated
Sold for 600gns. We had a Khairouan, Kaccara, who we sold and I so wish we hadn't. Did well racing endurance and jumping and was always cheerful and great fun to own.
Khaut(GB) was first sold through Ascot Arabian Racehorse Sales in August 2004. Offered for sale by Kelanne Stud (Sheikh Mohammed) as a broken 5yo and sold for 1400gns.
As Rozy Rider says he was then returned to Ascot Arabian Racehorse Sales in August 2006.
I also have two horses by Khairouan....CS Khan and Kizhi (notice the 'K' connection). CS Khan was a multiple winner on the racetrack and is now an advanced endurance horse. Kizhi was also a multiple winner on the racetrack and having recently started her journey into endurance has now progressed to open. Both are as tough as they come and even though they have their odd little ways, are a joy to own. Both are greys, by the way.
KHAIROUAN...Won seven races including the prestigious Desert Storm Twice, half brother to Group 1 National Bank Gold Cup Winner KHOUTOUBIA and twice Group 1 Dubai Stakes placed Khaddour(info as at 2006). Eye-catching grey boy, now deceased.
