It's taken just over 3 weeks, but at last Jane (Cookie) has been transferred to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
This will make it a much shorter journey for both Amanda & Becka to visit their mum which I'm sure they will appreciate.
She arrived late this afternoon, but has settled in her new room surrounded by the cards and flowers that have been sent to her.
I've taken in some snacks for her this evening and also the latest copy of so that she's got something to read.
She's still hoping to make the South West Groups AGM on Saturday, so we will see what we can do to get her there. I think that she's had enough of hospital food so the thought of a meal at the Ley Arms is calling her!
I can't believe how long she has been in hospital for. She needed a holiday but not this sort.
When I saw her last she had stopped smoking (good job too) and her face was amazing, all her lines have disappeared partly due to the scalp being pinched together above the face with the terrible scarring from the accident. As it has been re-opened three times it is rather cobbled and puckered up. Her hair will cover this, but in the process she has had a marvellous face lift
We went to visit Jane in Derriford on Saturday - then I popped in to see her yesterday at R D & E. She is certainly on the mend I am glad to say - and very pleased to be back nearer home. I am sure she will get loads of visitors now - as Exeter is so much closer - and this should cheer her up as well.
