I was lucky enough to win a practically new Snuggy hood in a raffle yesterday. However, it's a Small. The neck looks long enough, but I wasn't sure if the head would be big enough for an Arab forehead/jowl. Can anyone help, please?
My 15hh arab mare who wears a pony size bridle is in a medium size snuggy hoods turnout hoody, the medium is a great fit on her, I did have to have extra velcro put on the side though to make it double velcro as she rubbs when she rolls and it came undone and then span round and she couldnt see. The face part is a good fit on her though and she wears 5'9 to 6" rugs hope this helps.
my 14.2hh pure bred mare wears cob bridle though full brow band. 5'9'' rugs . M/L snuggy hood though a fits tight on her jaw. I think it needs to be long on the back to give some length when grazing.
My snuggy hood turnout is a Medium, did have the nose shortened and a bit extra under the jowel area. Thinking now I should have had M/L though as it is rubbing in the shoulder area. But the M/L then might be huge on neck and head. (My gelding is a substantial 15hh)
