Good luck Angela!
Unfortunately, I won't be going now.
One of my dogs bit Marygold on Saturday. Whilst it's not a serious injury, it's right where the girth sits, and there is no way it's going to have healed sufficiently to do 80km at the weekend. Missed the 40km CR on Sunday as well.
Slightly peeved as I'd put a lot of work in over the winter and we were both fit and ready for it.
Ho hum. That's horses for you. |

Oh silly me ... We are doing our first ER and doing the 80k. I wouldnt be worried bout doing 80k, its the thought of the ER bit but as we normally do lots of I've been told to stop worrying. No. 11 - I'll be the one hanging on for grim death .... Of course the other option is that he doesnt actually start at all, and stands there with that "Where did all the horseys go ????" look on his face This does have the potential to be very embarassing |

Hi Laura,
Had a good day today, Philip won the 80k ER on Madjin. Gemma Parkin on Ludo was 2nd, Lorna Kidson was 3rd.
Tired now after long journey back and off to bed as horses now tucked up in bed.

Well done Philip, and thanks for your company on the latter part of loop 1, best of luck for the rest of the season with all your plans!
Mrs Vlacq - yes, Charlie was an angel - must have been your kind words! But unfortunately we were spun at Vet Gate 1 on lameness, such a shame cos he was going so well and came in with Philip in 2nd place after the first loop - never mind always another time, and Charlie is ok which is the main thing.
Nicki - how did you get on? Desperate to know!
