For the past 12 months I've lived in my caravan and I'm really loving it. But when i wanted to go away it was difficult because I have a gorgeous cat. She didn't want to be left inside and I worried if she was outside in case she strayed. With an awning she can come and go and have her food!I've been saving for ages and what with lots of bad things happening to my car its taken months. Finally i found an awning i could afford!!! the nice man was passing my caravan park so he dropped it off and put it up for me It was like the krypton factor! thank god he did. Now I'm sitting in it with my glass of wine and a kit kat! how good does it get? Call in anytime

I love the way the French take their cats with them on holiday. We used to go camping at a municipal camp site on the coast in Picardy (to meet a French family we'd made friends with) and they took their cat and dog. The cat had a collar and lead and used to be tethered so she could go beneath the caravan into the shade if she wanted. They all did it; they go to the coast for all of August and a bit of July too! |

My cat follows the dog and me all around the campsite and fields. She doesn't need a lead. Everyone stops to stare at her as she is so bold and friendly. At the moment she is driving me mad going in and out of the van into the new awning! |

You can watch songs of praise and just hope they don't sing that caravan owners least favourite hymn, "Awning has broken".... |

Ahhh Alice it sounds like your little bit of heaven, AND another nice man has come to your rescue I bet it makes all the difference; having another room! Enjoy your wine and the freedom of being able to escape without worrying about the catx

I know exactly how you feel Mad Alice. I have lived in my caravan for a year on and off and had my cat with me until I lost him in November. I had a cat flap put in the door for him so he could come and go as he pleased and also had an awning up especially for him for when he got too hot in the caravan He used to come for walks around the farm with me and also came to help me with the horses. He was in seventh heaven and so was I. I work in Germany now for 2 weeks then go home for 2 weeks and always look forward to getting back to my caravan I just really miss my cat now though, its not the same without him |

Hey julie just call me Alice!I love the caravan because it is so compact. When i stay at my daughters I feel like I'm rattling in all the space. My dog loves it too! she watches everything that's going on through the window whilst lying on my bed. When i woke this morning it was lovely to see the trees and sky through the sun roof over my head. Could have stayed there all morning watching and listening to nature! You're all welcome to come I've got a box of wine. RSVP |
