Yes do remember the Roedene Stud. They bred Part Bred Arabs. Their names were associated with Jazz Music. Certainly remember Roedean Hillstreet Blues, who was the Stud Stallion.

What is your horse`s name? Quite a lot were greys...also remember Roedean Ragtime Blues,Roedean Rythm `n` Blues, There was also Roedene Basin Street Blues,Roedean Twelve Bar Blues. All were full blood siblings, there were also several more. All were top class Show Horses in Hand and under saddle

Roedean Stud and Breeders of all Roedene Bred horses are Mrs A L Nash and Miss L Temple.Lynda is a Moderator on A/L and both are Organisers of the Cherif Championships which has been running from 1991/2?

Hope this helps

I remember Roeden Rhythm N Blues winning a lot of County shows - always beautiful horses and superbly presented.

Hi Kat

So pleased to hear that Boogie is still going out and doing things that he enjoys.

Rhythm was very allergic to straw, it was not a hereditary illness. He was obviously taken off straw. He lived to a good age, but could longer be shown.

Kostana (his Mum) was never ill in her life, and was with us until she was 31, having had nineteen foals. She hated not being in foal!

As I said before, Hill Street is with us and enjoying a life of retirement, his younger sister Jazz Me Blues is also alive. She was Kostana's last foal. There are a couple that I have lost touch with, but I do know that Twelve Bar Blues, and Fascinatin' Rhythm were brood mares, and certainly had lovely foals.

Do keep in touch will your news, and any other questions that you may have.

Next sunday I am meeting the lady who bought boogie as a five year old. She found me on this forum and e- mailed me. Turns out she lives fairly close to me. she hasn't seen him for 21 years. will be interesting, he must have changed so much in that time.
She says she knows a lady who owned rhythm n blues. it was her who told me about his hereditary illness- (good to know it wasn't though!!)

Do let me know who the lady is that owned Boogie.

Rhythm 'n' Blues was never sold. My sister Sue and I gave him to our younger two sisters as a foal. Sue showed him until he was four years old, and from then he went to David Ryde Rogers, and was there until we lost him.

her name is bernadette tully. I will ask her a bit more about rhythm n blues when i see her. Not sure if i have misread her message or if she has some incorrect facts about him. She told me he was 18 when he died?
Is David Ryde Rogers a stud/ breeder?

hi lynda
i met bernie today- she was very pleased to see boogie again after 21 years. It was nice to meet her and swap stories and pictures of him. turns out he hasn't changed much in that time!!
I asked her about rhythm n blues- she knows the ryde rogers', when she said the lady who owned him i presumed she meant he had been sold to her- my mistake!
