Hi

Does anyone have a sheep or lambswool numnah for sale or know of anywhere that sells them? I am looking for a real wool one, not the fake thin imitation ones as I already have one of those and it isn't thick enough.

Please PM me

Thanks

We found Courtlea Numnahs very good, and when we bought ours there was a choice of thickness.

Hi Evie
I love sheepskin/lambskin and use nothing else now, I have tried many!
My favourites are 'Stephens' 'Le Mieux' and 'Mattes'
In that order. The Stephens ones are very thick ,and all of the above come up as new when washed, a tip before washing- rub in a small amount of normal human hair conditioner, works wonders!
Look up these names on E.bay. I think the best price is around £70-for a square(less for a half pad)Well worth it they will last for an age.

Hi all

Sounds great, I was thinking...I have a very old...but almost like new Silver Fox Jacket that I was thinking of turning into a lovely comfy numnah for Guiness..do you think that this would work?

don't see why not - you can sometimes buy lambskins dyed the right shade to cut to fit your saddle.. depends how hairy it is I guess!!

I like the Roma ones because you can stick them in the washing machine and they dont go all hard like the very expensive Bartl one I bought. They are reasonably cheap too. Dont buy a black one for a grey though or you end up with a pink horse (the dye isnt very fast)
