Well the last week here has been beautiful but with the sun and warmth comes the ticks not just any ticks ooohhh nooooo, here in France there are ticks that carry a deadly desease called paraplasmosis (excuse the spelling please) so I have been making my husband pick these vile creatures off my horses, Lately had two and Fabbi had four, but I think these were just the normal ones and not the ones that carry this awful desease, its really scary and I am terrified of bugs I will deal with any horse that is throwing itself all over the place as big as they get but a bug OMG NO!!!!!!!! so everyday I have to inspect every inch of my beloved horses to make sure there are no little wart things because YES you have guessed its more than likely to be a bug

Barrier products do a repellent. At my last yard there were loads of deer that grazed with the horses and we were plagued with the darn things. Once I started using the repellent they never got any.

Heather I could kiss you I will go on line and see if I can get it shipped here, I have been having a total breakdown over these darn things and the thought of my poor milly having any chance of having another horrid thing happening to her again fills me with total dread, apparently its only one type of tick that carries the dreaded desease but it is still so scary Thank you, thank you, thank you. Minty Arab..... I frontline the dogs every four weeks but have now started using a defferent thing that the vet prescribed because this desease also affects dogs to if the get it, but all the brits I have spoken to out here have told me that nothing wors on the horses, but I will try it as nothing tried nothing gained and soooo much to lose |
